Oliver's Labels wish you and your family a wonderful Rosh Hashanah.
Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year. From sunset on September 12 to nightfall on September 14 the Jewish people will be celebrating year 5768. Similar to the North American New Year, Jews reflect on the year that has past and make plans for a better year ahead. For those who observe Rosh Hashanah, no work is permitted on this holiday.
A ram's horn, called a Shofar, is blown like a trumpet in Temple.
Another practice is to eat apples dipped in honey which symbolizes the wish for a sweet new year.
May this new year bring you nothing but good health and true happiness!
All the best from our family to yours.
