Created by Oliver's aunt Debbie, Oliver's Labels are personalized, colourful and durable labels and tags. Debbie's story...""It all began with a small idea to help Oliver, my nephew, from losing his stuff. After seeing the overwhelming positive reaction from his teachers and other parents, I realized there was a huge demand for good name labels. I used my years of experience in the printing industry to develop a high-quality label that was both durable and beautiful. The business was born and now our full-colour designs and exclusive Found-it Tracking System™ are a few of the things that set Oliver's Labels apart from the competition."
Their Large Bag Tag is especially great for school bags because if your child loses their bag, it will find it's way home, thanks to Oliver's exclusive Found-it Tracking System - an online lost-and-found service. So cool and a great idea! Must have been a mom who thought of it.

Here is her review of Oliver's Labels:
Time To Get Labeling
Oliver's Labels is a Canadian company whose products are great for kids who lose everything, like most kids do haha. Their products include original labels, mini labels, shoe labels, iron-on labels, bag tags, allergy labels and Jewish labels. We use Oliver's Labels on all of The Boy’s school stuff and other important items that leave the house, we even labeled the inside of his shoes (just to be safe). They are well made and come in a variety of colors and designs. We have never had a problem with the labels peeling off even with the ones in his shoes, which receive constant friction. These durable little labels can be put anywhere you can imagine and last longer than you need them too. They are also dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer safe. They also withstand outdoor elements if you need to put them on objects that stay outside of the home. The thing we love best about Oliver's Labels is their Found-it Tracking System™. Every label has a code specially for your child, when someone finds your lost item all they need to do is enter the code online and you will be emailed to notify you that someone has found your child’s item and then help you get the item back.
Oliver's Labels ship to Canada, US and International, you can purchase them through their website.

According to Wikipedia, on January 31, 1957, the Canadian Parliament proclaimed:
"A Day of General Thanksgiving to Almighty God for the bountiful harvest with which Canada has been blessed... to be observed on the 2nd Monday in October."
And so, Happy Thanksgiving!

Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year. From sunset on September 12 to nightfall on September 14 the Jewish people will be celebrating year 5768. Similar to the North American New Year, Jews reflect on the year that has past and make plans for a better year ahead. For those who observe Rosh Hashanah, no work is permitted on this holiday.
A ram's horn, called a Shofar, is blown like a trumpet in Temple.
Another practice is to eat apples dipped in honey which symbolizes the wish for a sweet new year.
May this new year bring you nothing but good health and true happiness!
All the best from our family to yours.

We love Swanky Moms and our friend Heather just posted a great back-to-school article for all of her loyal readers. Here it is!
Looking for a great way to keep track of "kid" stuff? Oliver's Labels are the perfect solution. Cute designs, high quality, easy to use, and they are the ONLY labels with a unique tracking system. If someone finds something with an Oliver's Label on it, they visit the web address on the label and type in the tracking number that is there as well. You will be notified via e-mail by Oliver's Labels and the person who found your item does not receive your personal info. Very cool! There are tons of designs to chose from. We have the "Outer Space" pattern and they are already on my son's pencils, markers, pencil case, and backpack (the bag tags are a MUST HAVE for back packs). Oliver's Labels also makes clothing labels. Don't let that favorite sweater become an item in the abyss of the school lost and found! Visit Oliver's Labels today and prepare your little ones with their "School Pack." Everything you need to keep track of clothes, shoes, back packs, lunch boxes, school supplies, and more! My son may get lost on the way to his new class, but at least his supplies will be safe and sound. (ha ha....)
School starts in a few days, but no need to worry, Oliver's Labels ship super fast!

We just want to wish a safe and fun Labour Day long-weekend to everyone!
Labour day is celebrated throughout the world. It originated from the Labour movement which expressed that workers should only have to work 8 hours per day, having 8 hours for recreation and 8 hours for rest. Most countries have their Labour Day in May but Canada and the US have been celebrating it on the first Monday of September since the late 1800's.
I feel that Labour Day is the symbolic marking of the end-of-summer and beginning of school. When I was younger, this holiday turned my tummy into a big nervous knot but now that I'm an adult, it's just another great long-weekend!
Good luck to all you kids out there beginning a new school year! Now's the time get your labels and bag tags so you can walk into class with style!
By the way, if you have a photo of you or your child using our products we would love to see it!

Actually, today is Simcoe Day in honour of the first Lieutenant-Governor of Upper Canada. However, Torontonians are the only ones who actually call it that. Most provinces and territories in Canada also take the first Monday in August off but the day is known by several different names. For instance, in Nova Scotia it's called Natal Day and in Alberta it's called Heritage Day. In general you can call it a Civic Holiday. And if you are in one of those lucky provinces or territories that gets it, you can call it "WOO HOO LET'S GO TO THE COTTAGE!!"

During the checkout process there used to be only one option... regular Lettermail. This can take 2-4 business days within Canada or 4-5 days to the U.S. Here are the details:
|Regular Delivery Service|
(Click on the link for specific shipping time to your area.)
|Canada||$ 1.50||about 1-3||about 2-4||about 3-7|
|USA||$ 3.00||about 1-3||about 4-5||about 5-8|
|International||$ 6.50||about 1-3||about 7||about 8-10|
While that's pretty quick, the problem is that it's not guaranteed so there's always a risk that it can take longer. For those parents who are sending their child off to camp or leaving on a trip or starting school etc... that may not be a risk they want to take. Now Express Delivery Service is available with a click of the mouse on our Checkout Details page. Express Delivery Service means knowing exactly when your labels will arrive and getting them quicker than you can say "Oliver's Labels"! Here are the details:
|Express Delivery Service|
(Click on the links for specific shipping time to your area.)
Need them even FASTER? Can do! We also have Priority Delivery Service that can get you your labels and tags by 10:30am the next morning. You can check out the details here. To arrange this service you must contact us at 1-800-398-2060 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
We hope that providing you these new choices will make your shopping experience at Oliverslabels.com even easier.
If you have any suggestions for other things we can do to make your experience at Oliverslabels.com better, we would love to hear them!

Oliver's Labels will be out of the office from Thursday, June 28 to Tuesday July 3 for the Canada Day Long weekend. We will still be taking orders online and production time will not be affected. However, there will be no Express or Priority delivery service available during this time.
Happy Canada Day!

I received an email this morning from Lindsey at Paypal saying:
"due to American Express and Discover guidelines, these cards can only be charged in U.S. denomination. Visa and MasterCard offer different currencies."
So, even though I was told on the phone that this only happens with American Express, apparently it also applies to Discover card users too.
I hope this information is helpful to my fellow Canadians. When choosing to pay with a credit card, Visa and MasterCard are the way to go!
Thursday, June 14, 2007
We do not feel that this Paypal procedure fits with Oliver's Labels high standards for customer service for our Canadian customers so we will be researching reputable alternative companies to use for your secure online payments. Our priority is to provide all of our customers with top-quality service, and that includes the companies that we associate with!
If you're a Canadian customer and would like to avoid this problem, just use your Visa or another payment method available to you when checking out. If you decide to use your American Express, now you know what to expect to see on your statement. We have also added a note on our Checkout Details page for those customers who do not read our blog.
I know, I also can't believe there are people who don't read our blog! :)

Kid Reviewer: Son ~ 4.5 Years Old
More than anything my son was excited about seeing the Dinosaurs. he loved the look and I loved how practical and durable everything was. Once I put them on his things, he was showing all the kids in his JK class what he had and of course the kids than told their moms and than the moms asked me. Great product and incredibly useful. I would love these labels for everything in my house.

First let me start off by saying that when we get an order, it only takes about 1-4 days for production. We then ship it out using our Regular service... but now we will make "Express" and "Priority" services available too. Here are the details...
Regular delivery service (default):
Canada: only $1.50 (production time + 3-5 bus. days)
USA: only $3.00 (production time + 5-10 bus. days)
This is the current service we use for all orders unless otherwise specified. It is both inexpensive and reliable.
New option #1 - Express Delivery service:
Canada: $15 (rushed production time + 1-2 bus. days, click here for your area)
USA: $16 (rushed production time + 3-5 bus. days, click here for your area)
New option#2 - Priority Delivery service:
Canada: $28 (rushed production time + next bus. day by 10:30am)
USA: $44 (rushed production time + next bus. day by 10:30am)
For now these options will only be available by request until we add it to the website. There are a few ways to tell us that you want Express or Priority service... after ordering you can
1) include a "message to the seller" when checking out in Paypal,
2) email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or
3) call us at 1-800-398-2060.
We will simply send an invoice to your email address with the balance after subtracting the shipping you've already paid.
I hope these new options will answer our customers needs. We continue to look for ways to improve our customers' experience with Oliver's Labels. Now, hopefully, even if you've waited till the last minute, you'll still be able to label and tag your kids' stuff!

You better get your Large Bag Tags before the sale is over!
Tuesday, May 1, 2007
Tuesday, April 3, 2007
A lot of time was spent putting this package together so that it has just the right balance of products for a child going away to sleep-over or day camp. We didn't want to have too many or too few of the different labels.
One thing was for sure... there had to be 2 Large Bag Tags and a full order of Iron-on Clothing Labels (56 labels). The other products that we included to round out this combination is a ½ pack of Original Labels (21 labels) and ½ pack of Shoe Labels (12 labels - enough for 6 pairs of shoes). The Camp Package sells for only $47.99.
We think it's a great package and hope it saves our customers time when shopping for their kids' personalized labels and tags. We know, however, that every customer is different so if the Camp Pack is not your cup of tea, it's easy to make your own package by combining our label packs and getting our amazing Combo Discount!

Here is her review of Oliver's Labels:
Oliver's Labels: The Way Kids' Stuff Finds Its Way Home!
I was recently introduced to Oliver's Labels and I have to say they are truly the best labels on the market. Not only are they durable and super cute, but Oliver's Labels have something that I have never seen on any adhesive children's label. Their Found-It Tracking System is an online lost and found service that never shares your personal information. The website address and a nine digit tracking number are on each label, so if something is lost, the "finder" can visit the site and report it. Oliver's Labels acts as the liaison, so your missing item can safely find its way home.
Oliver's Labels come in several different themed designs. We have the Outer Space and Transportation designs and absolutely love them. I am particularly fond of the mini bag tags and the large bag tag. I put the large bag tag on my son's back pack and the mini tags on a few of my youngest son's diaper bags. The colors are vibrant and the artwork is very well done. Oliver's labels are super handy, you can purchase their original labels, shoe labels, iron-on clothing labels and lots more! I I definitely recommend purchasing one of savings packs, like the starter or sampler pack. It saves you lots of money, and you get a great variety of products.
Oliver's Labels would make a GREAT gift for a new mom and would definitely be appreciated at the next birthday party you attend. I have even used some of the labels for my own items. I stuck one on my digital camera and put one on my cell phone too! If for some reason you do not want to use the tracking system, you can order all products without it. However, there is no additional charge to have and use the tracking system on your labels. I'm so excited to be the first person to review this fabulous product, keep an eye out, Oliver's Label's is going to take over the world of labeling. Just remember you saw it first on Swanky Moms!
